We are team, you, me and your K9
The relationship between an animal and their owner is a unique connection. Elite K9 Academy helps you understand what your dog is saying. This will continue to build and strengthen your bond. Choice is empowering and will cross into all aspects of training, we always train for reality. Bespoke programmes that can work around your needs, your environment and your Elite K9.
Nervous dogs and nervous owners are my speciality. Let me show you how to gain confidence and to help give you clear decision making skills.
About Me
Compassion, dedication and Empathy
I have been experiencing life with animals since a young girl, both personally and in my long career with animals. Starting with a Guinea Pig called Nibbles, a pony called Solo, my heart dog Jenson a GSD and currently my fluffbutt Sabre who has taught me more about animal communication than I could ever hope to know.
I am on a journey of discovery and knowledge, constantly learning to enable me to help you be the Elite companion that your dog needs.
Your dogs communication will be the very first thing we look at together. Understanding what your dog is saying is the key to unlock trust, communication and to enable growth as a team.
I am currently studying with ACE (Animal Centred Education), Canine Confidence (Janet Finlay),Canine Principles, IMDT & IMDTB and Canine School of Science

I have been assessed, offered and accepted membership with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers). I agree and adhere to their code of ethics, which fit inline with my own personal beliefs
I am a member of the Professional Pet Network and their associates, I have built up a trusted network of professionals that I can refer to, including consent based groomers, professional caring dog walkers, Vets and behaviourists.
I am also proud to be an approved Instructor for KAD (Kids Around Dogs)

Discover Confidence Programme
Having a dog that is nervous and reacts to other dogs can be very upsetting, frustrating and can undermine your confidence and make you question how can you help your dog
This is where my Discover Confidence Programme comes in.
First I will take a detailed history from you as I aim to help your dog primarily and this could mean that I refer your dog to a Behaviourist suitably qualified, known by me and experienced.
Our first session would be at my secure venue where your dog will explore novel items. We will look at your dogs movements, body language and confidence levels in a new environment.
Your second session will be in a quiet area near to me and we will practice loose, long line skills, spatial awareness, your body positioning and subtle cues that you may be giving to your dog without realising.
Your final session will be somewhere that you may walk regularly and will put all the previous skills learnt into practice.
You will receive notes after each session, skills to practice at home, on going support throughout your programme.
You can book further singular sessions after completion of the initial programme.
